On the August 6th 2015 at 10.30am, the preview of the M3 Mall is launched by the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Hj Mohd Amin Nording Bin Abd Aziz here today.
The M3 Mall, a centerpiece of the larger M3 Residency, is an urban redevelopment project of the Gombak area initiated by Gerbang Mekar Sdn Bhd in a joint venture with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. It is the latest mall in Gombak that is set to reinvent the dining and retail atmosphere.
Under the Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2020, M3 Mall is the focal point of the redevelopment of the Wangsa Maju- Maluri Zone. With a Gross Development Value (GDV) of about RM 300 million on a 3.2 acres of land, the mall mixed development project is to be a symbolic landmark in the Gombak area.
Latest addition to convenience at Gombak.
M3 mall is located in cultivated township of Taman Melati, along Jalan Madrasah with a solid population in the surrounding housing area. With other amenities nearby, it is surrounded by other residential neighborhoods, colleges, schools and LRT station.
The mall is relatively 100m, approximately 5 minutes away from the light rail transit (LRT) and from the planned Gombak Integrated Transport Terminal (GITT). Business will begin in October 2015. Tuan Haji Zaharuddin Saidon shared that M3 mall will uplift Gombak, increasing business and creating employment opportunities for the population for an improved quality of life, and adding value to the existing properties surrounding.
“It will provide convenience and part-time employment opportunities to students from higher education’s academy in the surrounding areas including TAR, International Islamic University Malaysia, UTAR, Malaysian Institute of Art, Kolej Vokasional Setapak Kuala Lumpur and International Islamic University Malaysia,” Tuan Haji Zaharuddin Saidon added.
80% of retail lots taken up.
The balance 20% tenants are likely to be closed by year-end based on the enquiries received by Gerbang Mekar Sdn Bhd. This is a significant sign!
Some of the tenants consist of Mr DIY, Nagoya Textile, Texas Chicken, GeorgeTown White Coffee, Chatime, King’s Confectionary, my NEWS.com and many more to come. The anchor tenant, The Store will be the departmental store and supermarket for the community. For the younger populations like students in the area, there are sports retailers to cater to their needs.
For the large gatherings and event receptions which caters up to 1000 pax, M3 mall has their own banquet facilities.

Tuan Haji Zaharuddin explained from a retail perspective that the mall is in demand due to its population, location, strong tenant mix and accessibility. With the special design, astonishing concept and exciting response from the local community and retailers, M3 Mall stands a chance as the hot property in Gombak.
