Taman U-Thant is an eastern part of the city founded in 1960s. It was named after the former UN General Secretary from 1961 until 1971, U-Thant. In the early years, Taman U-Thant was established for foreign embassies and high commissions only. Hence, the current density allowable in the residential is between 100 and 150 persons per acre and strictly for low-rise residential development only.

There are 2 famous international schools in this area which are Sayfol International School and Fairview International School. The nearby Medical centers found here are Hospital Pakar Ampang Puteri and Gleneagles Intan Medical Center. Besides, the nearest transit rail station is Ampang Park LRT Station. Hence, Taman U-Thant is really a convenient place to stay and a good choice for investment.
