Taman Desa Kulai is a neighbourhood of houses that all stand on freehold land in the district of Kulai in Johor. The neighbourhood of Taman Desa Kulai was built by an unknown developer with a long time completed project.
Taman Desa Kulai comprise of primarily of low-cost houses ranging from between RM85,000 to RM135,000. Set in the outskirts of Kulai, the neighbourhood is made up of single storey terrace houses that have a variety of layouts ranging from 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms; undoubtedly because most of these houses have been renovated by their tenants. However, the most common build up seem to be 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.
All the houses in Taman Desa Kulai are pre-owned, thus, all units for sale now are generally renovated and either fully or partially furnished depending on the previous owner. Security is not an integrated feature of the neighbourhood; each unit is basic and comes with no add ons unless the previous owner have renovated the place as the houses were built targeting the lower income group.
There are still the basic amenities although Taman Desa Kulai is considerably far from the city. The closest school would be SMK Kulai Besar which is about 3 km away while SJKC Kulai 1& 2 are about 8 minutes away. There is the Shell and Petronas petrol station in the next neighbourhood of Taman Mas Kulai. Residents will be able to buy their necessities at the Mydin Hypermall about 6 minutes away from their neighbourhood, and mothers will love the Kulai Market sited almost beside it. The Kulai town police station, the Kulai post office and the Kulai traffic police station are in the same area too.
While KTM Kulai services the area for those who would prefer to take the public transport, Taman Desa Kulai is accessible via the Skudai Highway for drivers. They can always make their way to the Kulai taxi terminal located directly beside the Kulai market which also doubles as Kulai’s bus terminal for residents who would prefer not to take their chance with the public transport.
