Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) purchased over Bangunan MAS in 2006 for RM130 million. This famous building was finished in 1987 and has been a historic point along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur for a long time. The previous MAS home office was 35 stories tall and its significant occupants were Syarikat Perumahan Negara and Jabatan Kebudayaan and Kesenian, furthermore Holiday Villages of Malaysia Sdn Bhd (which oversees Club Med Malaysia). Arrangements are in progress to update the first building into a Grade A++ office building and another five or six-star extravagance in close by it. The consolidated worth for this task is evaluated at RM1 billion (or more). Bangunan MAS is placed on the same line as Menara Promet and only 2 minutes away from the Raja Chulan Monorail Station. Over the street are Kenanga International, Equatorial Hotel, Kompleks Antarabangsa and Crowne Plaza Mutiara. The region is loaded with numerous luxuries, in the same way as banks, restaurants, lodgings, retail outlets. Only 5 minutes' head out is the Petronas twin towers, shopping center and the KL Convention Center.
