Taman Desa Permai is a housing area sited within the city of Port Dickson, in the state of Negeri Sembilan. Then, the advantages of owning a home in this housing area is that the property will be on freehold land at a non-premium price tag due to its rather out-of-the-way location. Property development here is rare, as well as the developers are mostly unrecorded.
Being sited albeit on the outskirts of town, properties in Taman Desa Permai are rather scarce and few between. There are at any one point next to no houses for sale, whilst those that are up in the market are mainly for auction. Then, the most current house on the market in this area is a single storey bungalow of 6,753 sf that is being auctioned off at a starting price of RM180,000, whilst the houses for sale such as a double storey terrace house costs RM320,000.
The benefits of staying in Taman Desa Permai lean mostly towards the recreational, as it is positioned in an extremely quiet and peaceful area. Most of the houses are built for maximum natural light intake as well as fresh air. As such, most of the houses are built with balconies with plenty of big windows. Also, this is a fairly safe neighbourhood, as crime rate is on the low side with no reported incidents before.
Taman Desa Permai is situated within the same area as many popular resort hotels such as The Legend Water Chalets and Lexis Water Chalet. As such residents also enjoy the same beaches as well as lifestyle of holiday goers. There are no shopping malls in the close vicinity, however, there are a number of mini marts and convenience shops close to the development, and a number of eateries of both Chinese and Malay cuisine.
Taman Desa Permai is connected to town via the main road Jalan Bakar Sampah, which connects to Jalan Pantai, the main road that serves Port Dickson. Jalan Pantai translates to “Beach Road”, which is an apt name for a road where the sea is visible on the whole stretch of road. Public transportation is sketchy here, hence owning a bicycle for short distance travel is a good idea, whilst owning a car for long distance travel is necessary.
